Your body is comprised of over 75% water, your brain 83% water and your blood 84% water.  Water is an essential element in all physiological function of the body-- you can’t live without it! In fact, if your body drops below 1% of normal hydration the body begins to loose ability to function.

Principle 3: Cleanse Your Body

Since early Biblical times, people have been fasting and cleansing for many reasons including health, political ends and spiritual enlightenment. However, in our day and age the average person has no idea about the health benefits fasting and cleansing can provide. Before we can create healthy bodies and minds by eliminating highly toxic foods it is best to allow the body to clear itself through a process of cleansing. arrowPrinciple 4: Eat Healing Foods

God said, “See, I have given you every green herb that yields seed which is on the face of all the earth, and every tree whose fruit yields seed; to you it shall be for food.” Genesis 1:29 

The first foods into your mouth should be those highest in nutrient density, such as leafy greens, colorful vegetables, beans, legumes, fruits, grains, nuts and seeds.  If you can’t make it a daily goal to consume 1 head of spinach or some other dark greens then you may be heading for some trouble in the future.  The more fresh green foods you eat the more weight you will loose.  You will require less food to be satisfied and find yourself being full much earlier in your meal (as long as you add the green leafy vegetables first).  There is a favorable mix of all known essential nutrients found in a balanced whole-food diet.  On the Food Beautiful Program you are not dieting, you are eating!!  You don’t need to count calories, just focus on consuming nutrient-dense foods before any other food.

arrowPrinciple 6: Exercise with Purpose

Your body is designed to move and work at various intensity levels to produce strength, abundant health, joyfulness and success in life.  We all know we need to exercise, but some of us still ignore this important requirement.  If you want an abundant life, you must give energy to get it!  When you allow complacency into your life it opens the door to slavery and you become a prisoner in your own body.  Complacency begets frustration, self-hatred, self-doubt, fear, stress, depression, disease, anger and sickness.          

On the flip side, with every negative thought there is a positive one.  You can turn your complacency into action and commitment.  Physical action promotes self-love, self-belief, faith, joy, strength, passion, success and abundance. When you ignite action in your life, it makes you feel good.  The more you feel good, the more action you take; it’s a self-perpetuating cycle!  Any moment you can start a new life with a shift in your thoughts and actions!  You can choose to move forward or sit back and watch your life pass you by. Don’t let your past keep you from your future.

Your body was created to adapt to the environment and the stress under which it is placed.  Participating in exercise causes you to get stronger, leaner and healthier.  Each time you reach a level, to which your body adapts, you must increase the intensity and duration of your exercise, pushing through this uncomfortable stage until you reach your desired health, beauty and weight.  At this point you can maintain your workout schedule. 

The key to exercising is to make sure you are doing it effectively. There are three important variables: 

Frequency (times you workout per week)
Intensity (workload)
Length of time

Your exercise program should have a building stage of six weeks in which you gradually increase workout time, frequency and intensity.  Follow this with the 7th week at half the workout intensity, time, and frequency.  Then start the cycle all over again.  Keep cycling the building periods every 6 weeks with the 7th week at half the time, frequency and intensity…..
